In SENSE the connection between different conductive parts in different layers in the stack-up, separated by dielectric layers can be done using VIA bridges.

Those VIAS are either imported or designed through the Via templates of SENSE and are defined as a circle (to create a solid VIA) or two concentric circles (to create a hollow VIA).

SENSE allows multiple VIA types in a single project. When you create a VIA type, you can name it, add its conductive Material and decide from which Conductive Layer it will start and to which Conductive Layer it will End.

Different VIA types can start and end at different positions.

PRO TIP: Having VIA bridges in your designs and not connecting them in the VIAS tab will not compute the simulation, so you must always make sure to fill in all the information boxes in this tab
